Age Differences in Effects of Global Factors on Cultural Identity: An Exploration of Tribal Community Dera Ghazi Khan

The study explored effects of global factors on cultural identity tribal men in Dera Ghazi Khan. For data collection, twelve (six young and six old) were interviewed. Through deductive thematic analysis eight themes formed based predetermined research questions. results showed that use was common frequent among men. Among factors, internet preferred by for entertainment while old radio news updates weather forecasts. people learning adopting new languages, different styles dressing, food ways celebration from other cultures. Traditional occupations leisure time activities being replaced with modern ones. Attitude towards traditional roles women transition. customs like horse riding, shooting, dancing swords, dress pattern Jirga system extinct values hospitality, cooperation, respect elders still exist. Young liked to form social relations cultures older maintain their relationships local community members.
